We want to have fun, be challenged and most importantly, create buildings that will stand the test of time.
We know that your needs vary from project to project, so whether it’s a simple report for a small fit-out or a complex project requiring multi-faceted safety strategies, we offer a reliable and timely service that gets you the best results. Of course we tick all the usual boxes and manage the spectrum of a complete performance solution. But what drives us is knowing you safely achieved your vision.
Our Team
Our director
Our resident fire warden and the brains behind PBC. Will Marshall is an ABCB subject matter expert and fire safety engineering specialist with unparalleled international experience.
As a registered Fire Safety Engineer (NSW and Queensland), holding chartered engineer status from the Institute of Fire Engineers, Will's expertise covers all sectors internationally for both new build and existing buildings. Working with the industry’s largest engineering firms on projects varying from a 100m² office fit out to the 60,000 m² Sydney Convention Exhibition Entertainment Precinct in Sydney, Will has been an integral part of some of the most influential builds in the country.
Will's vision to change the game of building services with more flexible and cost-effective safety compliance solutions is much more than just fire services - it’s influenced and impacted by all aspects of the building design.
Our Principal Fire Safety Engineer
Kevin Boyle is our Principal Fire Safety Engineer and the technical leader here at PBC. Originally from Ireland, Kevin is a registered C10 Fire Safety Engineer (NSW) with extensive experience working across a wide range of sectors (including commercial, retail and healthcare) for prominent Aussie brands such as Bunnings, Westpac and Australia Post.
Kevin joined PBC in 2019, after working for big name construction organisations such as WSP and NDY. He is a technical wizard when it comes to Fire Engineering, but was seeking an environment where he could focus less on the ‘red-tape’ and more on enabling outstanding design.
Kevin starts every project by getting a thorough understanding of your vision and building users to minimise design issues, maximise safety and reduce compliance costs.
Our Principal Fire Safety Engineer
Nate a dedicated and motivated Fire Engineer with over 8 years of experience. He moved from the USA to Australia after completing a research project on bushfire risk communication methods in Melbourne. Since then, he has worked on city shaping projects throughout Perth, Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney across a variety of industries.
Nate believes that safety not only forms the basis of Fire Engineering, but that Fire Engineering design goals should be holistic - considering function, form and sustainability, as well as compliance. As such, Nate is particularly interested in how Fire Safety can integrate with other disciplines and strives to incorporate this into his projects and collaborations.
Nate also has an aptitude for learning. He is constantly researching and consistently speaks at conferences and events on his findings. He also takes on a role in skills development for the team, organising regular CPD sessions and mentoring the younger generation of Fire Engineers.
